NEWSLETTER May 2007

Welcome to yet another season of Croquet. The lighter evenings are with us now, the social calendar has been prepared and the league matches arranged. Thank you to Ann for continuing as chairman and to Bob Savage, Eddie Schaffert, John Roberts and Brian Stephens for our lovely new kitchen. Hopefully the weather will be kind and we can have a great season!

We are delighted that Margaret is so much better and look forward to the many social events, competitions and tournaments. Make the most of your membership and join in as many events and competitions as possible. Competition forms should be returned to Marjorie as soon as possible. Have fun!!

It has been good to keep in touch during the winter months, and our thanks as always to those members who have hosted our coffee mornings.

As Ann explained at the A.G.M., lawn 1 will be out of use this season due to a maintenance programme being carried out by the council. Please remember to book your lawns in advance and avoid disappointment.

Please also note that the lawns will not be available when the League teams are playing at home.

Sadly the Golf team has had to be withdrawn due to lack of support.

Help will be needed to provide teas for home matches.
